Our practice team consists of:

Mr J Rautenbach – Dentist

Qualifications: B.CH.DU Stell 1983 South Africa

Mr Rautenbach joined the practice in 1986. He is originally from South Africa and qualified at the university of Stellenbosch near Capetown. He lives in Nailsea with his wife and four children. His interests include all outdoor activities and camping. His patients call him Rauti! He does not work on a Tuesday afternoon. He now owns the practice with Mr Roberts.

Mr Rautenbach can provide you with Cerec crowns and inlays.

Mr David Roberts – Dentist

Qualifications: BDS Bristol 1983 – GDC registration number: 57607

Mr Roberts joined the practice in 1998. He lives in Bristol with his wife. His hobbies include photography, music, small engineering and cars. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry. He now owns the practice with Mr Rautenbach.

Mr Stephen Collard – Associate Dentist

Qualifications: BDS Bristol 1981 – GDC registration number: 55911

Mr Collard joined the practice in 1985. His interests include travel and keeping fit. He does not work on a Wednesday. He is married and lives near Bristol.

Mrs Barbara Bachtold – Hygienist

Qualifications: CEB Dip Dent Hygiene 1995 – GDC registration number: 3892

Barbara has worked at the practice since 1990. She was previously a dental nurse here. Barbara enjoys swimming, family life and a healthy lifestyle. She works at our practice all day on a Monday.

Miss Emma Thomas – Hygienist

Qualifications: CEB Dip Dent Hygiene 2001 – GDC registration number: 5878

Emma works here on a Wednesday and friday mornings. She is enjoying being a new mum!.

Mrs Helen Harrington - Hygienist

Qualifications: Dip Dent Hygiene Ncle 2006 – GDC registration number: 102884

Helen works at our practice on Thursdays. She won the 2006 General Dental Council prize for Professionalism (dental hygiene category). She enjoys hockey and being a new mum!

Mrs Lyn Ralph – Hygienist

Qualifications: CEB Cert. in Dental Hygiene – GDC registration number: 1480

Lyn joined our practice in October 2010. She works here all day on a Tuesday. She qualified at Guys hospital in 1977. Lyn has several pets including a dog, cat, rabbit and fish! Lyn has an active family and likes going to the coast!

Anne Wynne - HygienistQaulifications: CEB Dip Dent Hygiene 1993 GDC registration no: 4581

Anne rejoined our practice in June 2011. She enjoys family life in Clevedon! She works here on a Thursday evening.

Mrs Gail Clarke - Dental Hygienist

Qualifications: CEB Cert.Dental Hygiene 1973 - GDC registration number: 1059

Gail will joined our practice in March 2011 to cover for maternity leave. She used to work for us 20 years ago! Gail is an artist (some of her paintings are displayed at our practice) and also has 4 whippets! Gail will be sadly leaving us at the end of April.

OUR RECEPTIONISTS

We have 4 part-time receptionists – Sally, Sue, Sandra and Carolyn. All of our receptionists are friendly and approachable. They have many years of dental experience between them and are more than willing to help you with any queries you may have.

OUR NURSES

Our Nurses We have a team of 5 fully qualified nurses. They help the dentist and look after the surgery. They are all registered with the General Dental Council and undergo regular professional development.

Mrs Elizabeth Hardcastle - Practice Manager

Qualifications: Cert. DPM 2048

Elizabeth has been with the practice since 1990. She is also our Complaints Officer and will be happy to assist you if you have any questions about our service. Her hobbies are looking after her Border Terrier and dancing. She has lived in Nailsea for many years with her family.
